The Rise of Content Consumption [Infographic]

This year, the number of internet users has nearly doubled from what it was just five years ago, and that means there’s a whole lot more information for the web to keep track of. The amount of data it took years to generate, 5 billion gigabytes up until 2003, can now be created in a matter of minutes. So what changed?
The way we share and watch videos has gone from sending links via email to the share button and embed codes. Downloading a song no longer takes 15 minutes, but 30 seconds and streaming has become the preffered way to listen to music while at a computer.
The way we consume content on the web has changed dramatically in the past years, begging the question, how far can we go from here?
